  1. You steps should be however long correct sprinting form manifests itself in your body. By this I mean, doing this like plyometrics (below) help teach your body and muscles how to sprint effectivley and what the correct form would be.

First though, it's important to find out how you stride when you sprint, and just get comfortable in that first before you try and change it. Changing it could cause problems and lead to inefficency.

Learn how you sprint, then work on making it into the most efficent way possible for YOU to run.

    Plyos to keep in mind:

    -High knee

    -Butt kicks

    -Skips

    -B Skips

    -Quick Skips

    -Drives

    -Gazelle Leaps

  2. ok your steps will be longer if your tall and shorter if your short

and it depends on what you feel comfortable with

i dont really see a difference between how fast you go if its longer or shorter tho

  3. everyones steps are different. if your tall youll have a longer stride compared to a shorter person.

  4. Stride length depends on support force and ground contact times. The more support force you have the shorter your contact time and the longer your stride will be. To have shorter contact times you need to get stronger. Get in a leg press machine and lift the weight with both legs but hold with one leg, on ball of foot and knee slightly bent. Hold as much weight as you can for 10-30 seconds on one leg. Do 3-6 holds a few times a week. Continue to run short under distance sprints at your top speed to coordinate strength with speed.
