How long should one wait for answer after job interview.

Question

I had an inteview 10 (7/24)days ago with a company it went well and hiring mangager told he was going to be on vacation the following week. So they will let me know the decision on his return. I have not heard yet what do you think should I call and ask or wait

Not to be mean but they should of told you something right away, before i got my job i was in and out of interviews and i heard it all, stuff like ok we have a few more candidates to interview then we'll call you but nothing, or stuff like you seem like the right candidate ill talk it over with some other managers, and nothign. my suggesttion is call and ask on the progress

you could call and see if he is back from vacation yet....

or if not, give him another week and then call....
