  1. it depends on what event you compete in, I used 5mm because I did the 200m and relay. You need longer spikes for longer distances, and shorter ones for shorter distances. But whatever you feel most comfortable to you will improve your performance!

  5. 5mm (3/16") is the most popular size. 7mm (1/4") is the next size up, I've never used anything longer than that.. There's also different kinds of spikes, pyramid, needle and christmas tree..

    What to wear depends on the surface. Some tracks have rules on the length of spikes that can be used. Your event, the surface and the rules at the track should dictate what spike to use.

  6. It depends on the surface, I know the rules differ for an all-weather track to a dirt one.
