How long should the US wait before we take military action against Russia?

They invaded Georgia, now they are threatening a nuclear attack against Poland. There clearly testing the US, I say we pull out of Iraq and Afganistan and introduce them to the F-22!

Got your air raid shelter built yet?  Stocked up on food for the next 50 years?  Do you think Russia has no teeth?  She is just as capable of nuking us as she is Poland.  Not to mention, which side do you think China would come down on?  Do you think a paltry approx. 100,000 soldiers can defeat a country the size of Russia?

Where would you get the money to fund a new war with Russia?. Borrow another trillion dollars from China?. The US is already in a huge debt and the economy doing down the drain. It's just a matter of time when China will own most of the US.

Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain came back with "Peace in our time."   Secretary of State Rice is in Georgia seeking "Peace in our time" also.   In both cases,  a rather powerful nation invaded a weak neighbor.  None of the other nations thought it was worth going to war over so nothing was done.

However,  when Germany (and Russia) invaded Poland,  WW II started.  I think Poland will once again be the trigger.  If Russia attacks Poland I think we will see another major war.   And it sounds from statements made by the USSR,  I mean Russians,  they would not hesitate to use nukes.

We shouldn't even think about attacking Russia for ANY reason.  We have enough trouble already.  We need somebody in Washington who understand what "diplomacy" means, instead of shooting first and asking questions later.

I believe US won't attack Russia directly. There will be no one left in this world to watch the results if such event takes place.

Other than that, one way or another Russian bear must be stopped. Latest events with Georgia and Poland clearly show Russia never ended cold war. At least not in Russian military and KGB general's minds.

To call Russian forces peacekeepers in there is a mockery. Given Russian role in the development of that situation who here believes that Russia was either objective or uninvolved as peacekeepers should  be? They were there just to make sure Georgians didn't restore control of Georgian land.

What did Russian peacekeepers do to prevent S.O. side from shooting and  shelling Georgian villages starting from aug. 1st? Absolutely nothing.

Did Russian peacekeepers try to stop S.O. shelling two Georgian villages the night Georgia attacked? Absolutely no.

Even if Russia had best intentions(which they never do except for the expansion of their empire) the result of their peacekeeping is ethnic cleansing of Georgians from S.O. supported by Russians, 175 dead in Georgia, 44 dead in S.O. and peacekeeping forces of Russia occupying Georgia and looting...

we do need to look for a way out of Iraq, but we need to stay in afganistan, the Russians don't want anything to do with the afgans.  Russia got their butts handed to them in afganastan in the early 80s.  Russia knows that yeah, were a little messed up right now, but if a threat exists that would jeopardize the very existance of our nation, we would come back to life, like when Reagan was in charge and the entire world would either fear us or respect us, either way, I dont care.  Russia doesnt want to use nukes, they know that the US, Japan, Israel, and the European countries will use theirs in defense.  Its a loose loose situation with nukes.  The muslims are the nuke happy ones.  I figure were in for another cold war pretty soon, that might boost our economy.

Your sheeple self still thinks Russia attacked Georgia, when in fact it was the opposite. Georgian Miitary attacke South Ossetia which had Russian Peacekeepers in it. Georgians started it.

And Russia is just pulling the old Warsaw tactics of threating Poland. They just wanna be a bully and remind everyone they are still a superpower.
