I recently bought my first car, and someone ran a red light at an intersection where I had the right of way to turn right. As I was turning into the right lane, I was hit by a vehicle, to the left of me, attempting to merge into my lane. The damage of my car is the driver's side fog light, the driver's side of the grill and the left side of the hood is a little off set (raised). How long should damages like these take to repair? Keep in mind that this is an American made car, so the parts shouldn't take very long to me shipped.

  1. a 2008 parts are not avialble yet. may take a while..

  2. mine took 1 week and 1200 dollars

  3. Shipping parts is not the problem. Bigger concern is it just body panel damage or does the structure of the car need to be straightened? Your question is physically impossible to answer without at least a bunch of pictures of the damage. Even then, without seeing the car first hand, there's no truly way accurate way of knowing.

  4. Hard to say really, depends on the dealership and how busy they are in the bodyshop. My concern would be that it comes out looking as good as new. It is very delicate work. It is easier sometimes to replace a part, than trying to fix it. So that would take even more time.

    Good luck
