  1. I prefer my Eskimo Pie as is please, very tasty that way <G>

Now a baked Alaska is a different kettle of fish and you bake it

not long at all just enough to brown the meringue.

Fluted crust with open weave sprinkled with sugar on a berry pie please since you're asking.

  2. Open weave...just until the Eskimos are tender.

  3. Until the little red thermometer pops out of the Eskimo.  Then it's done and only needs to sit 10 minutes before serving.  Yum!

    (fluted)

  4. I thought an Eskimo Pie was an icecream pie with whipped meringue on top.  The baking is only as long as it takes to put a slight brown hint on the meringue.

  5. Aren't you funny!

Here's some info about the real Eskimo Pie:

  6. Eskimo pies are a very special pie, they require a minimum of 26 hours in a cold oven, you have to prechill the oven to 28 degrees F.  Put the raw pie into the prechilled oven and bake for 26 to 38 hours and I always use the open weave in restaurants where I have worked.

  7. Open weave of course. Stuff them suckers right in it, cover them up and cook thouroughly. The open weave allows them to cook just a tad bit better and they get nice and tender. Am I invited? Ummmm, Eskimo pie, yummy. LMAO

  8. 5 seconds to get it nice and soft.

    open weave sounds tasty

  9. The crust is not important. What is important is to bake it at extremely low heat.

  10. open weave.  bake very slowly

  11. you are supposed to be on a diet, you fat sack of McCain...
