Question:

How long should you keep a toothbrush?

...before it gets useless or nasty or just overused. i've always wondered. At what point are you supposed to replace it?

  1. 1 per month min.. but any time it's not at it's best toss it.  you gotta be quick with that stuff.. if when you get your new toothbrush it's like this colossal difference in style and performance then you've waited too long


  2. I change mine every 3 to 4 months

  3. I think you get around 6 weeks out of a toothbrush and then it should be replaced - you can dip it in collodial silver to protect it - or swish it around in a little listerine - hope this helps

  4. Every three to four months (see below). Take care, and toss that thing!

  5. Generally every few months. I was surprised when I read on this site that you should use a new one after a cold or flu. I guess that's in case you have a cut on your gums and there are still lingering germs so you don't put those germs back in your mouth. According to the second site I'm right about that.
