  1. That would depend on the crab pot you have. If it is a heavy commercial grade then you could leave it over night. If it is a light weight model then only for a couple of hours. The tide can take a light one out to sea so you have to keep an eye on them. If you have a crab ring then it should be in the water for about a half an hour to 45 minutes.


  2. An overnight soak is best, but 2-3 hours will work.
