  1. What is the reason for you to complicate things up by taking ferry to Bali from Jakarta? You can simply take flights to Bali - very simple, easy and cheap. The one thing you should always keep in mind is that most (public) sea transportation in Indonesia is horrible!!

  2. The flight from Jakarta to Bali is 1h15 - 1h30. You'll land in Denpassar. No need to take a ferry. If you want to go to one of the smaller inslands e.g. one of the Gili Islands/Nusa Lembongan/etc..., you can always take/hire one of the local boats that navigate between the islands.

There is a fery though from Jakarta to Bali but, from what I have heard and read about, it is horrible and the kamar kecil (toilets) are dirty. Plus, the sea can be very rough at certain times of the year.

Rough sea >>>upset stomach >>> toilets?!?!? Some people have been heard to say that this trip was h**l...on a rough sea.

If you like a new experience, go for it.:-))

    Have a nice trip.

    Edit :

Here is an internet address of a serious travel agency recommended by tthe French tourist guide "Le Guide du Routard" that  -most probably- will be able to give you the latest updates on what you are looking for :

    Hope this helps.

  3. As I know, there is no good ferry from Jakarta to Bali. I suggest you to go by air travel from Jakarta to Bali.

  4. From jakarta to bali by ferry is not good choice..because so easy and cheap by airlines...only 1.15- 1.30 hours &price Rp 300.000 - 500.000

March is month for famous day call " Nyepi = silent " for date may be you can try to ask bali local travel agent www.BaliAmazingTour.com

    HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY

  5. Unless you have a death wish I would advise against taking any ferry in Indo. They are known for being poorly maintained and often have accidents or sink from overloading them.

  6. You can take a ferry NOT from Jakarta but you instead have to take a bus first to Ketapang in Java and then finally a ferry ride to Bali (in Gilimanuk).

You can also take a train fromYogyakarta, Surabaya, or Probolingo to the ferry terminal.

The ferry service is rather frequent (I remember I missed one ferry and did not wait very long for the next trip).

  7. 2 days 1 night will come to Bali from Jakarta ship.

    Cheers
