How long the braces are installed in teeth?

I mean what is the maximum duration for it to be there. I have heard from someone that it usually takes more than a year. What are the chances of success?

The chance of sucess, almost 100% . As for the duration, anything from 6 months to 3 years.

It depends on your case. For minor cases, it could only take about 6 months. The average treatment time is about a year and a half. The max is about 3 years, but only if it's *really* serious. InvisAlign takes about six months longer. Reduce your treatment time by doing what the orthodontist tells you to do and by brushing your teeth. After the braces, you may need a retainer, but you can take them out to eat, and they're less noticeable.  Ask you orthodontist about it.

it really does depend on your situation. mine took almost 3 yrs but my friend got his off in 7 months. everybody is diff. the reason mine took longer is because braces aren't all about straightening teeth. the reason i had mine on longer is because i had a huge overbite. so i needed these elastics.

an overbite is when you bite down on your back teeth and your top teeth are way in front of your bottom teeth so you hardly see them. and an underbite is the same but vise versa.

elastics hook to the hooks on the front of the top of your braces to the hooks on your bottom on the back of your braces and either pull your top teeth back or your bottom teeth forward. i would imagine that if you have an underbite that they would work the same but probably vise versa.

the end results are absolutely mind blowing

after that to keep your teeth perfectly straight forever you will need a retainer. every dentist/ortho is diff so you might be diff from me but i got 3 retainers.

1. one behind my two front teeth

2. one behind my four bottom teeth

3. and one clear mold of my top teeth

which i had to wear for 3 weeks straight and then only at night
