Actually the time depends on the route. It takes approximately 14-15 hours on a direct flight. Otherwise 20-22Hours on a non-direct flight. I also depends upon the State in both the countries. You will have to travel through an airplane to the nearest metro city in both the countries to reach a non-metro city through an airplane/bus/train.

it depends..if u go non-stop from bombay/delhi to New york or  Chicago it will only take you about 15 hours(very comfortable)..if you connect in Frankfurt/London/Paris/Brussels/Dubai then it will take about 20-22 hours..Dubai might take longer..
