You asked whether global climate change was affecting our lives, and Yun is right in saying that yes, it is.  More in some places than others, obviously.  

Can you do something about it?  Absolutely.  Find out the size of your own carbon footprint, and begin to take sensible steps to reduce it.  If that single step is achieved by a significant number of citizens, it will drive government to step up efforts on that front.  Many businesses are taking significant steps toward ensuring that their future revenue isn't impacted by global change.  More would follow if the public were a driving force in demanding change, i.e. in the cars they drive and how they are maintained and used.

A few sites below to expand on what I've said.  This phenomenon is something we'll have to live with for generations, perhaps forever, but by educating yourself, by empowering yourself, you can help be part of the solution.

I hope it's soon. I just can't wait for my property to become an oceantfront residence after the sea level increases an additional ten feet (thank you ALGORE). Just think of how much money my house could sell for once it is on the ocean. And the sunsets....I can't wait!
