I have a pork chop (with the bone) that is about 1 inch thick. I am going to bread it. How long and at what temperature should I cook it? I'm only used to making boneless pork chops, so I don't know how the cook the ones with the bone. Thanks!

  1. 10 min on high

  2. I would put it under the grill 8" from the heat for 6 minutes each side, then check, adding more time if required.

  3. the best is if u have a meat thermometer, stick it in the center/thickest part of meat, check for 155 and everything inside it is dead and u dont overcook it. if u dont, really just poke it and for well done u want it to be firm and the meat should spring back after u take your finger off. eventually youll just get the feel and look of well done pork chops

  4. Yeah, just throw it in the oven for 30 min at 350 degrees. Or throw it in the broiler for 25 - 30 minutes. Makes very yummy porkchops.

  5. I bake mine at 350 for 30 minutes, covered. I bake them an additional 5 minutes uncovered. Perfect every time.

There hasn't been a case of pork food poisoning in the states since the late 1960s so it is no longer necessary to cook pork well done.
