How long to receive reissued stimulus payment?

My daughter's stimulus never arrived, she had to wait 1 month before they would reissue another check. She has called and they have agreed to reissue a new check does anyone know how long it actually takes to receive the reissued check? IRS worker told her it could take up to 2 months, just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if it really took 2 months?

well it can take 8- 12 weeks

The stated time frame is 6 weeks from the time the IRS initiates the trace. If it turns out the check was cashed, they will send you a photocopy and a form to fill out affirming that you didn't endorse and cash the check. It could be another three months after that to get the check.

Yeah, 8 weeks is about right.  Have had a couple of IRS checks re-issued in the past and that's been the timeframe it takes.

Sorry to say but yes it does take 8-12 weeks for the stimulus to be reissued.  Be patient..
