  1. you should always keep you fish in the bag for at least 15 min.

  2. actually, floating the bag is only a good idea if the light is off. The bag being so close to the lights actually warms it up way too much and stresses the fish out. Float the bag with the light off for around 20 min. Then they should be ok.

  3. Buy the time you read the answers it will probably be 10 or more minutes and that's long enough.  Good luck.

  4. The best way to introduce new fish into a tank is to slowly add water from the tank into the bag containing the new fish. This will help to mix the pH as well as the temp. If the pH is too different the fish will go into shock even if the temp is the same. After slowly adding water from your tank into the bag until it is full you will pour out some of the water from the bag into a sink or other place (do not put water for a store into your tank because it might have diseases that will make your fish sick or even kill them). After the second time of filling the bag slowly you will use a net and net the fish out of the bag into the tank. When you have finished netting the fish out and putting them into the tank you will now pour the water out (not into the sink, but rather you can use this water to water your house plants if they are freshwater fish).

  5. 10-15mins would be best

  6. I would wait another 20 minutes until releasing them and hould have gotten at least 2 more guppies and 2 more platies to make the comfortable
