How long to wait for COA for marriage in UK?

Question

Fiancee is Russian. Here in Student Visa, more than 3 months remaining. Have been together for just over a year.

Applied for Certificate of Approval about two weeks ago, and have received a letter saying "we're looking at your request, but don't contact us about it". We'd like to start planning the wedding and having a rough idea of how soon it would be possible. Does anybody know how long they normally take to issue a COA?

hi guys.. all i know is that if the case takes more then 3 months for your coa form then if you have done the case through a solicetor then they need to follow up for you.. or you can send them a letter regarding your application.

mine have taken almost 4 months already so now i have sent them a follow up latter..

hope i will hear from them soon..

 I am waiting for mine over 10 month now and I'll tell you - that's just fffffff unbelievable.

I would not say my case is very complicated but it doesn't matter because 10 month is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long in any way.

These stupid busters do not do their job properly, they do not care about something you didn't pay for.
