I had oral surgery to remove a growth from my gum. I had one or two stitches. When will the wound heal roughly?

  1. 10 to 15 days, keep up the mouth wash and avoid acidic foods or curries and not too hot a drink..OK?

  2. Mouth wounds usually take about 4-5 days, a week at tops, to heal. Rinse your mouth with saltwater, it will help promote healing. Some say a slice of raw garlic will help healing also.

  3. Hi this like any other wound depends on how deep the wound is and how large it is. The mouth has it's own sort of antiseptic that is produced naturally in the mouth. A salt mouth wash usually does the trick ( It will sting a bit but after 10 to 15 mins you should feel an improvement. Antiseptic mouth washes are also very good but can be costly. So just use a tea spoon of common salt in a glass of water. gargle and swill around the mouth and this will help the healing.

      Hope this helps

  5. bout a 2 weeks max.!

  6. Try swilling anti-septic wash around it twice a day for the next week. It will help cleanse the wound & it may heal quicker.
