How long until I can give away my baby hamsters.

My hamster just had 6 more babies. :( and I want to know when I can give them away to people who would want them ? anybody know ?

They need to be seperated from each other and their mom at 3 weeks old, as thats when they are able to breed. So you could give them away at three weeks, but I would recommend keeping them an extra week so that they get used to not being around mom, and then give them away :)

They can be given to their new homes at about 6 or 7 weeks

You need to wait 28 days before moving the babies.

Wait 4-5 weeks. Don't do it any younger than that. They really need their mother until then :)

At four weeks you should separate the pups by s*x.  It is safe to give them away from four weeks and up.  Just make sure there are no males in the cage with the mom or you may have more pups on the way.  It is very possible for one of her male pups to get her pregnant.  

Hamsters can get pregnant very soon after having a litter so you need to be careful.
