How long until a 2 motn old ball python outgrows a 20gal long tank and what size do i have to get after that?

And do i need a tree branch or can i just buy it in a couple of days?

  1. yes it does need a branch to help with shedding and exercise when he gets twice as long as the tank. also he should be moved to a 40 gallon so he has room to move3 around 30 gallon minimum.  


  2. In about 2 years you may want to up-grade to a 40 gal.

    The branch is not a necessity, you can add it later or not add it at all.

  3. my ball python got bout 1 foot  5inches and i built her a tank and its 5 foot tank so she is good in that however if u want u could move one in  a 40gallon critter for the smallest  i know for a fact taht it is a 40 i have a friend that has 60ball pythons i know k

If your thinking about buying the branch for it to climb thats not necessary but you should have something in there to help aide the snake when its ready to shed as far has when you need to buy a bigger tank it should be ok for a good year to year and a half if not longer they take a while to get any size to them and when you upgrade you dont need to buy it a huge tank 40 gal would be plenty.
