How long was it before you chucked the whole "promise ring" idea?

What is it with young folks and the holier than you attitude? If you did have a promise ring, more than likely you chucked it after a year so you can do some "test drives".

Am I right ladies?

I never had one.....but I wasn't a w***e either.  Maybe I should have had a necklace to signify some commitment but not quite ready to take that full celibacy vow?  hahaha.

I never had a promise ring. I met my husband, dated him for a year, got engaged, got married after 6 months. I was 19, I still haven't had any "test drives".

ur gross!!! a promise ring isnt something about being holy or any thing its about makeing a promise and if you break that promise then it kinda sucks 4 u because u broke ur parents trust and that reallyyy sucks

I don't understand why you need a 'ring' to promise that. If you both mean it, you'll stick with it, ring or no ring, It's not like it's a magical talisman that kills sexual desire until you marry.
