Sesame Street premiered on Nov. 10th 1969.  The show still runs to this day (39 seasons).

My kids watch it everyday!  I think it's the most educational show around!

I remember when it first aired on KCET (PBS in L.A.) - my mom made a big production out of it.  I was in Nursery school or kindergarten, so it was 1969 or 1970.  Hope that helps - thanks for the chance to reminisce!
