How long was your first relationship? ?

I don't care if your g*y, L*****n, bi or straight, all your experiences are important. How long did it last? Did you think it would last for ever, or if you are still in your first relationship, how rewarding is it to be with someone you love for so long? What measures did you take to prolong it? And (if necessary) how hard was it when it was over?

almost 8 months for me i didnt think it would last forever but he was an amazing guyyy and it was sooo hard to enddd i cried alot!! and so did he unfortunately

my first long term boyfriend lasted about 6 months, he cheated... I was also engaged and married at 18....lasted 5 years in marriage and it feel apart. We were together a total of 8 years. My advise, take your time, if you are young, don't worry about being in love. Wait until you have dated a while and have developed what you want in a relationship. You change so much in your younger years, just wait and see what happens. You can't prolong something, if it's not meant to last...and first loves are the hardest to get over...because it feels like your world is ending, but when it does end, keep in mind, each step in your life will lead you to your destiny.

My longest relationship lasted on and off for 4 years. It is over now and i am glad. It was not what was best for me although it was love.  I did think it would last forever but i moved on after being hurt to many times.

I freakin love my girl to death and would do anything to make her happy.

And she knows it too.

my first relationship was  last for 1.5 month..it's because i did it bacstreet from my parents..

for ur first experience of love i can only suggest you to not fall in love n trust ur lover/partner 100%, cos when u did nad when it cames to ending / break up part..u're the one who will sserve the pain badly..

just enjoy it..to love and loving someone can increase ur emotion..in positive way..will givew u positive energy to start ur day..

One week.  Yes, I thought it would last a while.  It was when I was in Jr. High.  He dumped me for someone else then everyone thought he was a real a$$.  That helped me get through it.  LOL

My first relationship lasted on and off for over two years. I was so in love with her and wanted to be with her forever but knew it wasn't going to happen. She didn't see herself with me in the future. We've been broken up for about two or three years now I think. The break up was definitely one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. It took me almost a year to get over her. Now I'm way over her and we're just friends. It's pretty awesome to be able to just remember the good times we had and not hurt anymore or hold any grudges against her =)

well my first was about a week and i kinda knew that it wasnt goin to last 4 too long knowin how he acts and stuff, and no it wasnt that hard to get over him , i was actually kinda relieved for it to be over and single again! i know this might not be the answer you wanted but good luck with whatever it is your needing help with...hope this helped somehow

My first relationship lasted 6 years, and yes I sure did think it was a relationship that would last my lifetime. The end of that relationship was the hardest thing I have ever been through on a personal level, and the good times as well as the bad times have forever changed the person that I am today.

3 years.  I knew it couldn't last since we lived so far away after college.  Both parents would never approve.  Still hoped somehow anyway knowing both would be hurt really bad.  Still hurts a bit whenever I think back, even though that was a long long ago.  We had a great relationship.

My first L*****n relationship lasted 5 years.  And we'd probably still be together today if my partner were still alive -- she died 9 years ago. :-(

It was very hard on me when she passed -- but she'd been chronically ill for 2 1/2 years and progressively getting worse -- so intermingled with the grief was a sense of relief that the suffering (hers and mine) was finally over.

one month of bliss + one month on the rocks = two technical months.

i was hoping it would last forever.

the sad thing is that we're still in love with each other. and still best friends. there is nothing that i cant tell her.

why is "always and forever" on hold? her mother is a d*uche... and a stalker.

next four years are going to be h**l but i figured we'd try it out again then and see were it goes. everything happens for a reason, right?

approx 3 hours a girl pestered me when i used to be in school, sh pestered me all morning and all lunch, then at the end of lunch she decided to say that she is my gf, i didnt give a **** really at that time. but her ex bf who she dumped came to me and said im taking libs and that she dumped him for me, i said i said no to her but shes a psychotic ***** wont take no for an answer, by this time she told everyone and i said i was never seeing her and i spread the news that i had dumped her, after that got aroiund to her she done the whole thing of "i dumped you before me! frankly every1 knew and i dint give a ****, her bf was a little ****** and i told him im sorry your girlfriend forced herself on me, i hope u enjoy ur relationship, and i was laughing hard with the rest of the people aroound, till this day i am still friends with that little ****** but the girl is a goner

i loved him so much

but all we ever did the whole d**n time was hug twice.

i initiated both,

and he wiped one away.

i really loved him,

and i thought it would last forever,

and i was willing to give him my virginity.
