i met my husband  when i was a sophomore in high school.  he was a senior.  we dated for 4 years before we were married.  we have been married for 22 years now!  he is still my best friend.  :)

We knew one another a year, then dated for two before we married.

We dated for 16 months before becoming engaged and were engaged for 13 months before the wedding, so almost two and a half years from meeting to wedding.

5 and a half years... but we started dating in high school and both finished college before getting married. It was a long wait, but worth it!!!

well i spent a total of 5 days with my man before i moved in with him, just a few hours after i walked across the stage to get my high school diploma i jumped on a greyhound and moved to Cincinnati to live with my guy, that was on june 5, 2005 on august 19, 2005 we got married and in 4 days we will be married for 3 years, still in love as much as i was when i first laid eyes on him, and now we have a wonderful 15 month old daughter, and planning to spend the rest of my life with him

It will be our 3 year anniversary. We knew each other for 11 years before we started dating and we got engaged after 18 months.

My parents, however, must be the reining champions of short engagements....it was 5 weeks from met to married, not a shotgun wedding, or a pregancy issue.  (In fact they waited for almost 2 years before starting our family) And they will be celebrating 33 years together this October.  I don't believe any of the stuff about having a long engagement, or not living together beforehand.  If it is right silly things like that aren't going to matter.
