I bought some 1000 speed film a year ago and have kept it in the refrigerator. I'm thinking about using it for when I go to a concert next month and was wondering if it would still be good?

  1. I recently used a roll of ISO 200 color film with an expiration date of 12-06. Its been refrigerated since I bought it. It was perfect.

  2. Yes it will be fine.  Take it out of the frig the day before but don't open it until you need it.

  3. If you kept it refrigerated since you purchased it, it will be fine. You might experience a slight color shift, but under concert lighting, I doubt you will even notice it.

  4. You guys are such amateurs!!

I had kept used Kodak film in a refrigerator for up to ten years, and it came out extremely well.

I wouldn't worry about it one bit.  Even if it is outdated a bit, it won't hurt it at all.

The only thing you want to be careful of is using it immediately out of the refrigerator.  Take it out of refrig, let it sit a couple hours before you use it to get it used to normal air temp.   Your film should be fine.
