How long will Guy McKenna last as coach of the Gold Coast team?

Will he see his two year term out or will he be given the boot, like he was at the West Coast Eagles? He couldn't keep something tucked away when it came to the wife of another assistant coach.

That type of behaviour is accepted at Collingwood. I wonder about the Gold Coast??!!

Just the two years of his initial contract, I'd say.

He is only going to the club to develop a group of young players. When the real coaching comes around I'm sure they'll appoint someone with far more ability than Bluey has.

If he does not be driven to drink by sexual frustration he will be there for years but of course his training at Collingwood will not help him

I think he will be a great coach in terms of his football mind and abilities. He should fulfil the full term of the contract he recieved.

I don't think he has been appointed coach. Just development officer.

Not much of a career move on his part, but I suppose he wasn't going anywhere with Collingwood. Better to try something different than end up as dead wood.

Depends how well he does and he will do well if he has the right players.

Well, his contract is for 2 years, so I'd think he'd be there for at least 2 years. He's been a great assistant at the Pies, brought over by Mick from WCE.

I reckon he will do his two years contract time in developing the new team's playing squad. Then a senior coach will be appointed & I'd be very surprised if McKenna was in the running for that position.

His past misdeeds at the WCE is well known in certain circles!

He'd be silly not to see out his contract term.

Whether it's renewed or not will decide his coaching future in the AFL.
