  1. It all depends on how motivated you are and if you can get good instruction, either from a teacher or some other way. A good teacher is the best route to go to learn it the fastest and they could give you a better estimate of how long it will take you. Each person learns at different rate but good teachers can get you to learn faster

  2. If you literally just want to be able to play that one song, I would say you could learn to play a simple straight away just by having someone teach you in a "copy after me" fashion bar by bar... in a few weeks you could have it by memory and with some feeeeling in the music...

if, however, you want to learn how to play the piano so that you can sight-read other songs of a similar level (grade four-ish), and be able to read music (assuming you don't already, and the piano would be your first instrument) and make a nice sound... two years of hardcore devotion (ie a few hours a day) or three and a half at the least if you are a "normal" person!

    Good luck!

  3. Hey there,

If you get the very easy version you should be able to play it in about a year.   If you get the harder version ....  maybe 2 to 3 years.  But then, you will be able to play alot of other great tunes as well.   So it may be worth all of the wonderful practice you will be doing.

    Best Wishes to you :))
