How long will I have to swim everyday for?

I'm going to start swimming everyday (well almost everyday), I've been for the last 3 days. How long will it be before it makes a difference to my physique? I'm not much fussed about losing weight, or going down a size (I'm a 12, although I'd quite like to be a 10), I'm more fussed about just toning up, I'm a bit flabby at the moment.

I've swam about 40 lengths each night i've been swimming, it's a standard size pool, so i'll continue to do that, and then increase.

How long do you think before it makes a noticable difference?

  1. I swim for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. it took me about 3 or so months to begin getting into the shape i wanted.

    You need the will to do it, but also to know the technique, if u lack this then youll take longer.


  2. Ehh, it depends. What you eat affects how long it could take. But just swimming, hmm....i would suggest mabye 2 months?

  3. Depends on your eating habits. It's not going to happen over night.. I'd guess a few months.

  5. I would suggest swimming for as long as an hour everyday. Take a day of break during the week. As you feel more comfortable with this plan, you can try swimming for longer times a day up to two hours!
