How long will I have to wait to wear color contacts after Lasik surgery?

I am myopic and I want to have Lasik surgery done.I am considering going to India.I hear its cheap.I heard about the Forerunner Healthcare company. My prescription is 5.55.I want to get non prescription colored contact lenses from the beauty supply and other holders though.

I am so used to wearing violet colored contact lenses.I don't like my natural eye color.I'm like a dark chestnut brown.My eyes aren't dark brown, but they aren't light either.I had light hazel eyes like daddy but they changed color bf I turned 2.Oh why did it have to do that?That sucks.After Lasik how long will I have to wait to wear the non prescription colored contact lenses.I don't want to show off my natural eyes.I like violet and gray contacts.I don't like wearing clear contacts.I get ignored by family and men when I wear clear contacts.I don't stand out when I show off natural eye color.But when I wear the gray or violet lenses I get more attention and comments about how cute I am. So how long?

I think it will be actually a few months.  I read a lot recently about what happens to you AFTER the surgery, and for several weeks you MUST be VERY careful not to really touch your eye.  You will be sleeping with goggles because you cannot risk messing up the flap that they cut (if they make a flap).  Anyway, these are questions that your doctor can tell you the answer to.  Going to India is probably a good idea for you to get Lasik.  The doctors there are very educated and the price is much lower than here.  However, there are also very good doctors in the United States that can do this for you at the cost of the plane ticket to India.  Lol.  I was going to go to Iran to get mine done but decided I will just stay here and do it.  And I am definitely sure that you have beautiful Indian eyes, and you sound like your confidence is really low about it.  I used to be kind of like that about other stuff, but in the end it really doesn't matter what other people think.  If you're going to wear color contacts, do it for you and not  the men you need attention from.  That's the best advice I can give you.  Also, you sound like maybe you're in your teens, and I thought you had to wait until you were 21 to get Lasik but I might be wrong.  Either way, I'm sure the color contacts look nice but you're going to have to wait a few months for your eyes to fully heal.  Go for hazel though.  That probably looks nice for your skin tone.

Having LASIK in India may be cheaper, but it's not just a one day thing and done.  You will need to be monitored by a certified LASIK doctor here (either Optometrist of Ophthalmologist) for proper healing for up to one year.  

What happens if you rub your eyes accidently and move the flap, what happens if you get suntan lotion in your eyes after LASIK, what happens if your dog or cat scratches you by accident?

All of these things have happened to patients of mine who have had LASIK.  LASIK involves careful pre and post procedue care.  Have the procedure done locally, but get at least 2 opinions before you do it.  Remember, you wouldn't shop for the cheapest brain surgeon ....would you???

Don't shop for LASIK by price alone!  You only get one set of eyes and LASIK cannot be "undone."

By the way, I recommend that my patients wait at least 3 months before considering wearing colored contacts after LASIK.

No, dont think u can wear lenses after lasik. The eye shape had been change unless u get those tailor make ones. About after 3months. Whne the conrea heals.
