Question:

How long will LA love Manny?

How long before the fans in LA turn on Manny? When he overplays an easy fly ball? When he decides he doesn't feel like playing? After his first fake injury? When he purposely strikes out because his feelings were hurt? Wake up people, it's only a matter of time before he's pulling the same stuff over there. Don't forget LA he's only using you to try to get a big contract next season.

  1. in till he leaves just look at boston fans

  2. They'll turn when Manny starts being Manny again.

  3. until he starts actin like a baby....and starts slackkin off not playing as hard

  4. They will love him for the rest of the season and then loathe him for leaving in the off-season.  Although he may like it well enough to stay for a while, in LA he will not face the same scrutiny as he faced in Boston, there are so many other things to report on there so they do not need to know what Manny had for breakfast this morning, they are too busy reporting who is shacking up with Paris and Brittney now!

  5. Well, he may only be there for the rest of this season, so that should be a short enough time to prevent him from causing any major issues. Now, the next team he joins, that's a different story.

  6. well i'm pretty sure he couldn't be any worse then Andrew Jones. so i doubt anyone will really care what he does. he is an explosive player, even if he gives 50 percent he will be better than a lot of the dodgers.

  7. Yeah it won't be long it'll take a good week or two before manny starts the same c**p again.

  8. Depends. Will Joe T. put up with "Manny being Manny"?

Will he try to dog it like he did in Boston to get his own way?

His antics were tolerated for a long time in Boston. If his teammates get fed up with him as they finally did after 8 years here he will be gone a lot sooner than anyone thinks.

He was here 8 years and it was a nice ride but he went too far this time.He played with heart in the beginning here too but once the novelty wore off he changed.

Always said he wanted to finish here but never acted like a real team player. Now he says he loves LA and wants to finish his career there. How fickle in just 24 hours! I hope LA wakes up but better they eventually have to deal with his desire for a bigger contract and special consideration at his whim.

If people want to see a real team player they should look at someone like Tim Wakefield. He's willing to do what it takes to win including going to the bull pen if needed or pulling himself out of the rotation if he knows he will be ineffective.

Good luck LA. Yuo're going to need it.

  9. About a year or so.  He'll get the Dodgers past the D-Backs and into the playoffs.  Like idiots, the Dodgers will give him a new contract, and Manny will pull the same stunts next year.

  10. That's a tough question for a Dodgers fan to answer.
