I'm 14, and today I went online to see if there were any bird breeders near where I live in C.A. I found a really great website that has tons of birds! And they are reasonably priced as well.

Unfortunately, my best friend kiwi died of old age:(... I loved him to death. He was a green budgie who lived to be 7 years old!!! Budgies live to be 2-7, so I'm glad he lived a great life.

My birthday is coming up, and the cost for a normal green cheeked conure in $175.00. I emailed my mom today and she said that for my birthday, she would get one for me.

I love birds so much, I don't know why, I just really bond easily with birds:) And the loud chirping is soothing for me. If I take very good care of a conure, how long will it live???

  1. You should expect around 30 years if you feed him pellets instead of seeds, keep him happy, and take him to the vet if you spot any problems.

Green Cheeks are pretty cocky, which can make them harder to handle at times, but it does add a great deal to their personality.

I've set up a site with info specifically on Green Cheek Conures and Cockatiels if you care to take a look: www.cockatielsandconures.com/conure_care.php
