I want to move into an apartment that is available now. However, I need to give my landlord enough notice. I was thinking of holding the new apartment while I give my landlord time to find a new tenant. Thanks.

  1. Depends on the landlord, and your deposit.

Some are nice, some want someone in right away.

  2. depends on the apartments...but usually they hold it for you for a month or so...

  3. all the above is right

one month is all they will do for you most anywhere

  4. TYPICALLY    ....AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PAID A DEPOSIT OR A MONTHS RENT.......

  5. Some people will hold the apt some not, depends on their attitude and supply and demand :)

  6. depends, but usually up to the end of the month.

  7. Most apartments will hold the available one for ONE month, but with a deposit of some amount. Although in the past week or so, I have heard of a coulple holding them for 2 months, but I find that you will only be able to hold it for one month with a holding deposit. which mine was $250.
