How long will bottled water safely last in storage?

Question

If I stock up on bottled water, and say put it in a basement or in a closet or something, how long will it last and be safe to drink?

it theoretically lasts indefinately, but the water can get a plastic taste because the plastic might dissolve a little.

there is no expiration on that, however I always liked to change up after a year. Buy new and use old store new just to be safe

years. it has an expiration date on it but i really don't think it goes bad, i think that's just there for the company guaranty stuff, like eggs.

Safe? I think forever, but taste good? a few years... after 4 years open one and try it... you will know then.
