How long will canned black beans last once they are opened?

the standard for any food once opened is 3 DAYS.  Once it sits for 3 days, it needs to be gotten rid of.

I recently had half of a can that I put in the fridge and I didn't use them for four days and they were fine.  If your beans smell funnier then usual or get very slimly then toss them.  I don't think I would leave them more then a week.

Heres a good idea to use them up!!! Black bean brownies. Take a regular box of brownie mix, puree your beans in a blender, mix with the brownie mix, and bake per package instructions. No other ingredients are necessary. Very fudgy and chewy... fat free too...yum
