How long will homeland security to review an immigration case?

Had the first interview but i got denied due to missing some paperwork, then we submitted those papers in timely manner, now INS is telling me that the case is being reviewed by homeland security as soon as the ok it, we will get a second interview in juarez, i want to know if that is normal that the case is at homeland security and how or where does one call to get more information it has been 8 months and still waiting. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP!!!

If it is over 60 days call the customer service number, 1-800-375-5283. But remember depending upon the type of visa you have applied for the case processing times vary.
