i have a traffic violation.

If i arrive in court on time according to the ticket and plead guilty, how long will i be there for? I just wanted to know so i can plan my schedule accordingly. Any help as well as approximations and over estimates will be nice.

  1. Probably no longer than an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how many people are there for the same thing you are.

  2. Well, since it's early in the morning, you have a better chance of leaving on time.  But, it alway's seems like things like that run behind.

  3. This all depends on your last name.. and how many others will be in the court for other reasons..

I went to court for driving with expired tags.. and

I was there for 2 hours..

My last name starts with a Q

and there were alot of people still there from the earlier time court was going on.. My court time was 730.. and there were people still being called from the 6 o'clock docket!

Also.. if i would have paid the ticket before hand, I wouldnt have had to go in to court..

Check with your courts jurisdiction to see if you can pay without having to appear..

If you have court like tomorrow I would get up there early in the morning and see if they will allow you to pay so you dont have to attend the court proceedings
