  1. i don tink it will last lpng, cos see our economy is running low cos all the money is been taken outta the country

  2. I dont think your industry will feel the crunch, its mostly the construction end of things

  3. Did,nt know that we had one?but there lots of jobs here in galway for graphic designers.

  4. OK so yesterday we woke to economists predicting the first recession since the 1980s... but what was failed to mention is that our economic boom in the last few years was mainly down to building etc. The government mismanaged it and therefore it couldnt be sustained. However if they had actually managed it properly instead of rubbing their hands in delight at the exchequer figures we may not be where we are today. Your industry probably wont feel the crunch as much as other sectors such as the construction sector and subsequently the public sector as the government have less to spend and subsequently the retail sector. However... be aware of the strengthening euro and the fact that most It companies are US based and trade in dollars. The exchange rate means we as a country are now more expensive to employ and also pay rises etc are poorer as US companied normally give rises in US dollar and then convert to euro... so perhaps be prepared to not earn as much money as you would like to earn or that you would have earned in the past. However unlike the recession of the 80s it probably wont last as long but there will be hard times ahead definitely with the value of the US dollar falling, job losses, lower public spending and rising interest rates.
