How long will it be before weed is legalized?

most older people now do not smoke it, but i would say most people at my high school use it, and it is gradually rising in usage. It is obviously more healthy than alcohol and cigarettes and non addictive. When the younger generation rules the country do you think these laws will change simply because morals will have changed, and also when (or if) that does happen, will lsd be next inline being even a less harmful drug than marijuana?

  1. i actually think it will become legal in the next few years (meaning about 10 lol). a good deal of lawmakers want it legalized beings its costing tax payers big dollars to keep it illegal. paying to put pot users in jail. it should just have the same laws that beer has. ive said this a billion times...i will trust someone high on pot before i would a drunk

  2. Keep on dreaming.  When you come out of la-la land and down to earth, you'll find that your drug will never become legal.

  3. No. It will most likely never, ever become legalized.

There are plenty of health problems with smoking pot (considering that to have a joint you must have tobacco in it so it will light, and the fact that mj users become bloody stupid), smoking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.

It's not good for you. It never will.

I COULD understand it if they legalised it for clothing (hemp pants), footcreams, etc, but not for smoking.

There are so many bad things that can happen when you are high.

LSD can cause schitzophrenia, depression and a number of other mental problems in people.

I do agree that pot users should not be jailed though. Pot isn't that bad. A fine is the hardest you should get. It's just as bad as illegally parking. Especially since it doesn't affect other people (unless they do something, but then THAT crime should be punished).

The laws may become looser, but they will NOT just be removed completely.

  4. hopefully soon, it's not phisically addictive and you cant OD, so... yeah

  5. I believe sometime within the next 5 years or so- you'll be good to go!

  6. Thats kinda hard to say, it is true that there is a growing population of older marijuana smokers.  But then, most of the people in the kind of jobs that you want to have neither smoke marijuana or drink regularly.  I couldn't really say if that has more to do with the drug laws and the increase in pre employment drug screenings.

  7. not until all the religious and moral groups that are against it realize they can't keep trying to force their views on everyone and decide to just let it be. i don't see that happening any time soon.

hopefully though, they can be over ruled.
