That depends. How much do you have now, how much do you make, what are your expenses, how savvy of an investor are you? Took me quite a while. But I started with a good education. Got into a field which paid pretty well. Worked very hard. Always lived well within my means. Signed up for a 401K plan early. Made some good investments inside and outside the 401K. And eventually I got my net worth above $1,000,000. How far along are you?
