  1. I think we've hit a turning point. Based on what experts are saying, the prices of oil are only going to go up from now on. Some people are predicting that the price of a barrel of oil will rise to about $250 sometime next year. The current price is about $140 I believe. Because of increased demand in the big developing countries such as China and India, by 2013 as oil becomes more scarce, major producers will begin failing to meet demand. So my prediction would be 2015-2020, petrol engines will almost be gone. Of course they will always produce these engines, purely for 'collectors' and rich people who can pay for petrol - but simply as a hobby I imagine.

  2. It will be 7 years from now on combustion engines are now obsolete and cars are now been converted to hover conversion so all cars are now flying

  3. In your lifetime. Here's the deal. People talk about petro a lot. People start caring when the prices go up. Gas prices will continue to climb making alternative fuels more and more profitable. There will, as always, be some hanger ons but I think we are at the beginning of the end of fossil fuels.

  4. A LOOOOONNNNG time. They keep discovering more oil. the developing world are only now getting a lot of our really old cars... they'll be using petrol cars for a long time, oil companies and large car companies don't want us to get a real choice that is why they are pushing hybrids rather than pure electric.

  5. you will be long dead...

  6. Get a horse.  It will keep your yard trimmed, provide free fertilizer, and you don't need seat-belts.
