How long will it take a medium size package to get from the UK to the US?

My friend sent me a birthday present from Scotland last Wednesday by airmail to me in Phoenix, AZ. I'm not sure how big the package is, but say it's small or medium size. How long will it be till I get it since it is now Tuesday?
