  1. At present, it seems unlikely. Sadly, if you have XM you may just be able to get the XM portion of the new shared entity. They will probably at some point soon be releasing "new and improved" radios that allow you to either get everything or the a la carte options.  (and yes....count on those radios to be pricey). remember, XM and Sirius use different satellites, different frequencies and Sirius is even keeping XMs' D.C. headquarters. They'll probably simulcast the redundant programming (decades music, comedy channels, etc.), but XM and Sirius exclusives (baseball, nascar, howard, opie and anthony, oprah proah won't cross over into the pre-existing radios.

    sorry.

  2. Officially, under the terms of the deal, the two companies have 12 months to come up with a receiver that will allow listeners to receive both XM and Sirius.

There are several conditions, but this is the one that is directly related to your question.

The two companies officially announced their merger today.

  3. I dont belive it will ever happen.

Sad,  it would be nice if they combine them.

  4. This is a complicated mess. The two radio services are not compatible, so they have to engineer ways to share channels, but in time to take advantage of all channels you will need still another a new radio and it will most likely cost you.
