How long will it take for a stye to pop ?

my stye already has the white head. when will it pop ?

Just keep putting warm compress on it (warm wet towel) for 15min a day and it will either surface further or go down. If it is attached to an eyelash you can pull that hair out and it might help...also the doctor can remove them...other than that Im not sure how long it will take on its own...maybe a week?

It takes a few days usually.  A stye is actually caused by a bacteria, an infection, and you may need antibiotics to treat it, but sometimes it will go away on its own.  Soften the stye by applying a hot, moist compress several times a day for at lease 10 minutes at a time.    

Whenever you are treating a stye, be very careful and resist the urge to pop or squeeze it! Do not rub your eyes because you can easily spread the infection to your other eye - that is unless you want a matching sett.  If your stye does not go away within a week see your doctor about getting antibiotics.

When I was in 6th grade a girl in my class had 1 on her bottom lid. She had it for 2 years! I swear it NEVER went away until she moved to minnesota. She was teased horribly so I can't really say. Just don't pop it yourself or you'll get a nasty eye infection.
