  1. It will depend on so many things majorly the type, climete, soil, water.

Wild apple tree takes 5 years to reach thigh level...cultured and treated approx 3 years...and might have its first apple after 4th year if you provide salt and enrich the soil, lots of sunshine in the pollination time.

You have also the transplated species, "greff", this is orignally a branch of a mature tree which was seeded and developed into a tree, hence it look small but is already mature and will  grow fast and yield fruits within 2 years. and what great is it stays low...so you can just reach out and pluck!

  2. It depends on the type and variety of the tree.

  3. Most fruit trees don't even grow fruit until their third year, and the first few years the fruits are weak and often fall off because the tree hasn't grown a strong-enough root system; it spends its first years "getting established."

I have two three-year-old apple trees that are about eight feet tall but still baren of fruit.  It was a hot spring for them and they lost many leaves due to the drought.  Now with the monsoons they are looking healthier and are even growing new leaves.  With care they should start bearing fruit next spring.
