How long will it take for my cold to get better?

i just got it yesterday and have had it for a day now so how long will it take to go away? what can i do to make my cold get better?

DRINK A LOT of FLUIDS especially WATERRR! or have a glass of ORANGE JUICE! or anything AIDIC! or try ROBITUSSIN i don't know if i spelled it right b ut it's an awesome COLD MEDICINE! you should try THOSE 2 OPTIONS!

Well if you got the cold yesterday and you had it for a day now then it will depend on whether you decide to get rest or not.  If you choose to rest and drink lots of fluids like water, then it will take a few more days.  But if you do things that are beyond your limit then it could take a couple weeks.  What you can do is if the problem persists, go see a doctor and the doctor will prescribe you with some antibiotics depending on what cold you have.

I've always heard 3 days to get one-3 days to have it-3 days to for it to leave totally-9 days total :(  you can alleviate some symptoms w/pain reliever-antihistamines and plenty of rest :)
