  1. I would definitely call the vet. I picked my girl up 5 hours ago. She was spayed yesterday and was hyper as all get-out at the vet's office.

  2. She should be up on her feet and getting back to normal by now.

My Lab was very drowsy the same day after the op, but by the next day she was up and walking around and wanting to play.

I would give the vet a ring and ask for some advise, they may need to check her over, just to make sure everything's OK.

Some dogs do take longer to recover and also have a different pain threshold, she may just need a little longer.

  3. She should be up and about by now, but not running and jumping. You may want to call your vet. He may want to check her as by this time most dogs you are having to hold down to keep them quite. Females do take a little longer to recover than males, but she should be walking around by now.

  4. She should be up and around by now.  Call your vet.

  5. wow that's a long time! I would definitely take her back to the vet, she might have an infection from the operation.

Is she still on pain meds? those can make dogs very out of it.

My dog was was running, jumping, and being a terror 24 hours after her surgery. They were worried she would tear her stitches. And she did end up having a bladder infection from the surgery so its possible.

I would call you vet though, just to make sure.
