How long will it take for the valium effect to wear off?

I hate how it makes me feel plus id like to know if theres a way to make it wear off faster. thanks

O.K.-Let's try this one- You do not tell us how old you are. Nor why are you taking the valium or how much of the drug you are taking.

Valium is prescribed by the doctor for many medical and psychological reasons.

It is given in 2mg-10mg tablets any where from once a day to a maximum of 4 times a day.

The side of effects of the drug depends on how long you have been taking it, why you are taking it and the dose.  

I would say that for a normal protocol of the drug is-it would take 6-8 hours for the drug to wear off-but the drug remains with- in the body and 1/2 is excreted or eliminated anywhere from72-100 hours after taking it, so I would say 3 days.

If you do not like the way it makes you feel - contact the doctor and let him/her know your concerns.

Like I mentioned, you do not say what you are taking it for--seizures? anxiety?
