  1. I heard that that takes a while at least 5 years  


  2. getting an undergrad degree generally takes about 4 years.  law school generally takes about another 3 years.  Few lawyers get an advanced degree beyond that.  How long it takes for you to establish a practice is up to you.  I would recommend working with others, and getting some court experience, such as a DA or PD before trying to open your own shop.

  3. major in law, criminology, or something similar, then go to law school, then take the bar exam, and finally get a job in a practice that does those types cases. how long it takes depends on how long it personally takes you to do all that.

  4. 4 years of college and 3 years of law school.
