put it in the water while it isn't boiling yet. leave it for 15-20 minutes.

The water line in the pot should be between 1/2 inch to 1 inch above eggs. Boil (on high heat) until the water line is half way down the upper most egg.

add water and bring to boil.

turn down to medium heat and boil for 10 minutes.

remove from heat

drain hot water

crack each egg to that you get a crack in the egg shell.

run cold water over eggs for 3 minutes

peel eggs under cold water

the crack allows the water under the shell and makes peeling the eggs easier.

Put eggs in cold water, bring to a boil ( approx. 10 min) once they come to a boil turn off heat and cover.  Let sit about 10 minutes, rinse with cold water,and let sit it cold water about 10 min - you are ready to rock and roll.  So approx. 1/2 hour or so.
