Question:

How long will it take me to get better at soccer?

So I tried out for soccer this year, and they needed players, so I was like 'oh what the heck' and I made JV (I'm a sophomore) but I'm pretty sure it was because they needed more players. And today was my first practice, and I was so not good hah. I don't really want to quit because I need to do something this fall since I won't be playing volleyball due to an injury I had that kept me from playing as well as I can, but I don't want to play if I totally suck...

  1. Practice! I suggest getting a small ball (3 or 4) and dribble it around the house.  Get used to the ball on your feet.  Also, go online and find some ball control drills.  Find a wall and shoot at it, then trap the rebound and kick it right back.  Finally, stay on your toes.

  2. soccer is a great sport, i think you should keep practicing, it will take you years and years of training to get better, my recommendation is to practice. If you want to get good  than Practice. Work on you shots, watch youtube videos on how to kick a ball, on how to pass a ball. Practice different Dribbling types like these:

  3. Can't really predict when you'll be better at it, but i'm sure if you practice you'll notice a change in no time. When you have some spare time, just go outside and practice.

And sorry to hear about your injury..

    That sucks,

    p.s volleyballs a great sport :)

  4. All I can say is....practice! You WILL get better. I know it. Try juggling for 20 min. a day. Plus dribblig exercises. Also, work on some moves.....crossovers, stepovers, maradonna. YOU WILL GET BETTER. Don't worry. You don't suck. You just need to practice that's all. Bye
