How long will it take me to get from dublin airport to upper o' connell street?

i'm flying in for the day and i'm going on a hop-on-bus tour in dublin. i'll need to get from the airport to 14 o'connell street to join the bus tour. would it be better for me to take a cab or walk there, or is there a bus i can take from the airport to o'connell street?

As well as Aircoach, Dublin bus service 747 goes from outside arrivals to O'Connell street every 10 minutes. Journey is 20-40 minutes depending on traffic.

You can take the Aircoach which costs about €7, it'll drop you a few doors away from 14 Upper O'Connell Street.

Dublin Bus also runs a service, the 747 which I think costs about €5 but as far as I remember it takes longer than the Aircoach. There's also the 41 bus which will leave you around the corner from O'Connell St but again this takes longer.

A taxi can costs anything from €20 - €40 depending on how many travelling (costs €4 for one person just to sit in the taxi!!), also how much luggage you have and how bad the traffic is. I think the Aircoach is the best, most comfortable and quickest way to get there.

Its about a 20 mins drive from Dublin Airport to O'Connell St, a taxi would cost about 20 euro, but if its rush hour and theres traffic then it would take longer and may cost a little more.

I'd recommend taking the aircoach. Its a blue coach that departs from dublin airport and goes direct to the city centre, the fare is only 5 euro. I think that they depart every 15-30 mins.

If you want you could always take the regular public transport buses. Just get the 16a bus that leaves from the arrivals level of the airport, it'll cost about 1.80 euro, but it'll take longer to get to O'Connell street as they have to stop at every bus stop along the way. If youre not in a hurry its not too bad!
